Lamb

Estella Farms has shearing-free Katahdin Sheep. The sheep produce enough wool for the winter to keep them warm in our cold, snowy climate. When spring comes, they shed their wool. Because they do not have to put so much of their energy into wool production, they are more efficient at converting food into the excellent, lean meat that they are famous for. Both Katahdin lamb (less than one year old)and mutton (more than one year old) have a smooth, mild flavor that appeals to those who don’t like a strong “gamey” taste, but never disappoints the true lovers of lamb and mutton. We offer our grass-fed and naturally-raised Katahdin sheep meat directly to local restaurants and individual customers

If you would like your sheep to be butchered and wrapped nicely, we can refer you to local butcher shop.
